Cancellations

Due to the difficulty in filling cancelled lesson slots at short notice, I am forced to charge a cancellation fee. Fee structure is as follows:

Less than 7 days notice: 50% of lesson fee.

3 days or less notice: full lesson fee.

I will make every effort to offer an alternative lesson slot that week at no additional charge. However this cannot be guaranteed.

I think you will find these terms reasonable compared to many tutors. I believe standard terms are six weeks notice.

Cancellations from my side.

Please understand that I earn my living as a musician and live performances can sometimes be booked at very short notice. This is a rare occurance, performances are usually booked weeks or months in advance and notice given accordingly. However, occasionally bookings come in on the day (such as cover or session work) therefore I must reserve the right to cancel lessons at up to three hours notice. The lesson fee of course will not be charged
