Guitars

I've recently opted for a Gibson CS-356 as my main guitar to replace the Gibson ES-175. I was looking for more versatility and a better sound from the bridge pickup while retaining a hollowbody sound from the neck. This guitar fitted the bill. Also has a Bigsby.

Amalio Burguet 3F nylon acoustic. A traditional flamenco guitar fitted with Fishman Pro Blend for live work. This guitar has lots of soul! It allows for passionate attack with the fingers. The Godin Multiac didn't cope with such attack so I changed after trying out many alternatives.

Amplification
AER Compact 60 with AER AG-8 extension powered monitor. Both acoustic guitar amps. Very clean and used for both guitars. Default amp reverb used.
Split chorus
Between the Compact 60 and AG-8 is an old Alesis Quadraverb GT set with very slight mono chorus into AG-8. This means modulated signal is from separate speaker to the pure signal, avoiding mid-range muddiness generated by chorus in the same speaker. Chorus is switched off when using the Burguet acoustic.

Pedal effects

For clean sounds the guitar is directly into the Compact 60 (effects circuit bi-passed). However, for the fusion tones, the pedal setup is in the following wired sequence:

Boss power supply and bi-pass
BossV- Wah
Hughes & Kettner Tubeman (fitted with Mullard valve)
Digidesign digital delay

The Tubeman is mainly on the second 'crunch' setting allowing for touch sensitive control of overdrive level. Speaker emulator output is used.

Strings

Electric: Elixir Nanoweb .011-.049
Nylon: D'Addario Pro-Arté Classical. Hard Tension

Studio variations

The guitars will go direct for clean sounds. If Pro Tools is used, a chorus is applied to electric guitar using the short delay plugin. Slow modulation at about 30%, left and right delays varied between 10 - 25 milliseconds.
Fusion sounds generally from the live setup plugboard. Occasional use of the Amplitube plug-in.
